SEA Airport Statistics

Operated by the Port of Seattle, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) serves the people of the Pacific Northwest with essential services, access to hundreds of domestic and global destinations, and economic activity that supports tens of thousands of jobs and produces $33 billion in economic activity. SEA set a record with over 52.7 million passengers in 2025. Thirty-seven airlines serve 96 nonstop domestic and 36 international destinations including Canada, Mexico, and seasonal operations. SEA earned the travel industry's prestigious 4-Star Skytrax Rating and designation as Best Airport in North America three years in a row (2022-24), focused on customer-centered travel with better services, facilities, and amenities.

Current and Historic Traffic and Operations Statistics

This graphic shows the percentage change in SEA Airport traffic in 2025 vs. 2024. In 2025 the total passengers was approx. 52.7 million, compared with 52.6 million in 2024, an increase of approx. .08%. The number of international passengers was approx. 7.1 million, compared with 6.6 million in 2024, an increase of approx. 7.8%. The number of domestic passengers was approx. 45.6 million, compared with 46.1 million in 2024, a decrease of approx. 1.02%.This bar chart shows SEA Airport reaching record numbers of annual passengers. In 2019 SEA set a record for total passengers through the airport at 51,829,239. That record was broken in 2025 when 52,715,181 passengers traveled through the airport -- approximately 2% higher than the 2019 record.
SEA Airport maintains robust nonstop destinations, with more on the way. In 2025 SEA added five new international services, including two new airlines, SAS (Copenhagen) and Edelweiss (Zurich), and Alaska Airlines' first intercontinental flights, to Seoul and Tokyo. SEA exceeded its number of pre-pandemic international services even before China service returns in 2026. In 2025 SEA had 58 international services to 36 nonstop destinations with 30 airlines.SEA Airport air cargo trends: In 2025 total air cargo was down 6.9% from 2024. Domestic air cargo was down 12.6% from 2024. International air cargo was up 10% from 2024. From 2023 to 2024 all three -- domestic, international, and total air cargo - had increased between 2.5% and 13%. Overall freighter cargo was down approx. 14% in 2025 but belly cargo increased more than 10%. The number of freighter cargo operations decreased approx. 9.5% in 2025 but cargo operations on all other aircraft increased approx. 0.8%.
